The Policy and Planning Division was previously a department of planning and evaluation of Phibunsongkram Teachers College, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Education.

  • In 1975, the Teachers College Act of 1975 was enacted, elevating Phibunsongkram Teachers College to the status of being able to produce teachers at the bachelor’s degree level. An announcement was made to reorganize the administrative divisions in the new teachers college, with the planning and evaluation department upgraded to the Office of Planning and Development, equivalent to a faculty. It consists of three sections: the Secretariat, the Planning and Evaluation Section, and the Data Statistics and Processing Section.
  • In 1995, the Rajabhat Institute Act was enacted, leading to the reorganization of the Office of Planning and Development into five work groups: the Secretariat Group, the Statistical Data and Institutional Research Group, the Planning and Budget Group, the Design and Layout Group, and the International Relations Group.
  • In 2005, the Ministry of Education announced the reorganization of the administrative divisions at Phibunsongkram Rajabhat University, which was approved to be established as a division within the President’s Office, announced on May 22, 2006.
  • In the year 2011, there was an announcement from Phibulsongkram Rajabhat University regarding the internal division of the university’s administrative units, dated July 3, 2011, establishing the internal divisions of the Policy and Planning Division into 5 units: Administrative Unit, Planning Coordination and Evaluation Analysis Unit, Data and Information Research Unit, Design and Planning Unit, and International Relations Unit.
  • In the year 2014, there was an announcement from Phibulsongkram Rajabhat University regarding the internal division of the university’s administrative units, dated August 30, 2014. The university established a structure for the division of administrative units and a framework for academic and support staff for the years 2015-2018, through the resolution of the university council, meeting No. 99 (8/2014) on July 26, 2014. On the 100th occasion (9/2557) on August 30, 2014, a resolution was made to establish a new structure for the division of government agencies, based on the authority under Section 18(5) of the Rajabhat University Act B.E. 2547, the Ministerial Regulation on the Establishment of Government Agencies in Phibulsongkram Rajabhat University, Ministry of Education B.E. 2548, the Ministry of Education Announcement on the Division of Government Agencies in Phibulsongkram Rajabhat University B.E. 2549, and the Announcement of Phibulsongkram Rajabhat University regarding the internal division of government agencies for effective operational management, totaling 11 units, consisting of 9 divisions and 2 established projects: 1) General Division, 2) Policy and Planning Division, 3) Educational Services Division, 4) Human Resources Management Division, 5) Student Development Division, 6) Standards and Educational Quality Assurance Division, 7) Information Technology Center, 8) Finance Division, 9) Sports Excellence Promotion and Development Division, 10) International Institute Establishment Project, and 11) Sufficiency Economy Institute Establishment Project.

    The Policy and Planning Division has an internal division of work into 3 tasks as follows:
